Town of Lexington, SC – Gavin J. Smith, who is seeking re-election to his first full-term on Lexington Town Council, today announced his Campaign Steering Committee.

The committee, led by twelve local leaders, will advise Smith throughout the campaign, offering input on key priorities and citizen outreach, creative solutions to the Town’s most pressing issues, and ways to keep citizens engaged pre- and post-election. The committee is made up of small business owners, community leaders, and young people—voices that reflect the heart of Lexington and the future of the community.

“I’m honored to have these respected voices from across our Town join my campaign steering committee,” said Smith. “Small business owners, community leaders, and young people all bring something unique to the table, and I’m grateful to have their support as we work together to ensure an even brighter future for our community.”

Smith said the steering committee will strengthen an already people-focused campaign by bringing in additional perspectives from across the Town of Lexington. Members will share feedback, highlight community priorities, and help amplify the voices of citizens throughout the campaign and beyond.

“This campaign, and my time on Council, has always been about listening to the people of Lexington,” said Smith. “There’s no better way to do that than by standing up a steering committee that makes this truly a campaign by and for the people. I’m excited for all we’ll do together, and above all, I’m grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me.”

The Campaign Steering Committee includes:
